Generally speaking, I am glad that batteries for Kindle DXs> 10 years old (to which there are hardly any alternatives, most readers are too small for me) can still be bought. The batteries (hoarded two Kindle DX) are reasonably accurate, only fit with a little force, and the mounting holes are not quite where they should be. As expected, the batteries were deeply discharged (Kindle did not respond at all), but could be "woken up" by charging. Which would probably not work with completely broken batteries.
